Friday's Feast

(Link at left)

Appetizer
Describe a toy you remember from your childhood.
I loved me some metal jacks (none of these namby-pamby plastic thingies for me, uh-uh, nosir)! I had dozens of them, but usually played with 10 or 12. I could do virtually everything listed in Wikipedia: double bounces, pigs in the pen, over the fence, eggs in the basket, flying Dutchman, and around the world (just don't, Amy), along with no bounce and crack-the-egg, and several other versions I can't remember. We had the most awesome porch for this: skating rink smooth. Not good for walking in the winter, of course, which is why Dad eventually laid bricks down, thus destroying my childhood (when I was about 12). ;-)
Soup
On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest) how observant are you?
I wouldn't give myself more than a 6, generally, at least of events and stuff I'm not dealing with. The stuff I'm focused on: 9.
Salad
Where would you rather be at this very moment?
In a hammock. Or asleep. OR asleep in a hammock.
Main Course
When was the last time you learned something new?
I learn something new almost every day at work. That's one of the things I like about my job. Today it was about how to make book weights.
Dessert
Fill in the blank:
I have lots to do this weekend but I haven’t started on it yet. Although I am now going to go wash pots and pans...from Weds. night, which apparently are visible ONLY to me; Sparky spent the past two days ignoring them; Beast ignored them last night. They're not very pleasant at this point....
