Anything sweet: cookies, candy, pastries, cake, pie.... I'm really awfully easy to please.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 as highest), about how popular is your last name?

My legal last name is around -46: I suspect I'm the only one in the world with it. My husband and son's last name is about a 7 in terms of commonness, at least in recognizability. Few people spell it right, including one of my college roommates, and my brother. My maiden name is about a 2 and it is usually misspelled as well. For that matter, so is my first name. Very few people get the whole thing right without effort. There are days when "Mary Smith" looks like a fabulous name!

Who is your all-time favorite sitcom character, and why?

Well, first I have to time-travel back to the days when I actually watched sitcoms about 15 years ago.... There are so many good ones, but today I think I'll go with Morticia Addams. She always had everything together, never ever got rattled, had a husband who adored her, and a wonderful, fulfilling family.

Most of my online shopping is at Amazon and little shops that use Amazon as their portal. I've also bought stuff from Coldwater Creek which is a wonderful shopping experience: online help and every order shipped with a return postage-paid envelope. We had a good experience the one time we used eBay, too.
