Funky funky club on Fairfax Avenue

1. What do you obsess about?

As a rule, "What I Should Be Doing Instead of What I Am Doing" is my only obsession. It covers pretty much the universe and then some.

2. What do you do for a living?

I work about 30 hours a week for pay at a medium-sized public library as the only cataloger and occasional reference librarian and Jill-of-All-Desks in general. I'm also a full-time mom and wife, and more-than-full-time blogger. The last three things: no pay except a warm feeling when I do an especially good job at them.

3. Where do you call home?

I call Colorado home, but I haven't lived there full-time for 25 years. I live in the midwest now in a much flatter state where a lot of the world's food is grown.

4. Have you lived up to your parents' expectations?

Yes, I think overall I have. I never quite feel like I'm good enough, but if you asked Mom I think she'd say she is proud of me on some level. I know my dad was, but he was easier for me to please. And it's kind of hard to hear his answers when you ask him questions now, being as how he's dead.

5. Are we more likely to find you in a coffee bar or a nightclub?

Neither, to be honest. I've been in coffee bars in the past few years more than I've been in nightclubs, but I prefer home.
