1. What is your favorite American band?

Either Aerosmith or Bon Jovi, if only for their staying-power and consistency.

2. Who is your favorite American male artist?

Throwing back a few decades, and with a nod at Bruce Springsteen who reminded me (and is coming in close behind in second place), Pete Seeger.

3. Who is your favorite American female artist?

Nina Simone. Pat Benatar and Bette Midler are neck-and-neck close behind.

4. What is your favorite song with the word "America" or "American" in the title?

The only one I can think of is Grand Funk Railroad's "American Band." I will probably have those lyrics stuck in my head all day now. Great!
