For someone that you love deeply would you be willing to move to a foreign country knowing that there would be little chance of seeing your friends and family again?

PERMANENTLY move? My sister did this 30 years ago when she got married. I would not. I might have done when I first got married, but I couldn't do it now. Too many responsibilities here. Maybe in a few years when Sparky is grown.

But why could I never see friends/family again? Could people visit back and forth? I guess it would depend on the country....

If you could spend a year in perfect happiness but afterward remember nothing of the experience, would you do it?

No. I need my memories intact. That is one of my great fears: losing my memories.
