Don’t let your life pass you by

1. How did you hear about the shootings at Virginia Tech?

Beast had the TV on Monday when I got home from work, and was watching MSNBC.

2. Do you know anyone who was directly effected? [sic]

No.

3. Will you be observing a moment of silence at noon to honor those killed on Monday?

No, I was at work when I was supposed to do that, helping someone figure out their real estate test.
I did come across one other person, this afternoon, who was wearing maroon and orange, besides me (and what a nasty color combination it is, too, by the way!).

4. How do you feel about NBC's decision to air portions of the shooter's manifesto?

I think they could have selected a little more conservatively what they aired. They could have waited till after the funerals had all been done. And I think it might have been better to only provide print access at first. But it has completely turned into a circus, with even CNN getting in on the stupidity. I was appalled at how many times the journalists were asking if the students they were interviewing were "angry" at the administration of the school...and then acting really shocked when the kids said no. They even tried to talk them into being angry a couple of times! Grr.

5. When you are hurting, do you have people to turn to?

Yes. Thank God.
