How would you go about purifying your own soul?

Wow ... uh ... it would involve enforced quiet (both quiet soundwise, and quiet busy-wise). And reading. And going for walks outside. And it would involve giving up a lot of luxuries and conveniences, I think, too.

If you were in a "Noah" situation, which animals would you take with you? Which would you leave behind?

I'd have to take 'em all. Wouldn't want to deal with being the cause of ecological disaster, after all! I'd like to leave the skeeters and other biting critters behind...scorpions, anyone?...but I suppose they're good for something....

Where would you go if you wanted to spend a week alone without contact with civilization?

Depends on your definition of civilization: I wouldn't go anywhere that didn't have access to food and indoor plumbing! If I wanted to be all alone, but relatively comfortable, find a house in the mountains that was far away from anyone.
