Saturday Six
1. How often do you clip coupons from the newspaper or mail inserts?
...and use them? Almost never. I used to be quite obsessive about clipping coupons. Then I realized that most coupons are for processed foods and stuff I don't really need anyway, so I stopped. I never remember to have the stupid coupon in hand when I need it nowadays!
2. You buy something that contains a mail-in rebate: how likely are you to take the time to fill out and mail the application (with appropriate receipts) to actually get the rebate mailed to you?
Assuming it's more than a couple of dollars...always.
3. How many credit cards do you have right now that have a zero balance?
At this very second? Not sure. We do, however, pay off all of our cards every month and zero them out at that point.
4. Take the quiz: Are you good with money?
I did this last Sunday. It says I am "great" with money.
5. What is the most expensive thing you purchased in the last week?
One single thing? I can't remember. I bought about $80 worth of groceries on Friday (on a day when I should have been at home instead). I bought fast-food lunches... and bottles of pop.
6. On a scale of one to ten, with ten meaning that it was something you needed badly and urgently, how much did you really need this particular item?
If I hadn't needed to stop for food, believe me, I would have gone straight home! It was a totally messed up day to be on the road. The other stuff, "need" is not the right word: I could--and should--have brought food from home. However, the water at my workplace this week has been awful--nasty brown in color--so I did need to have SOMEthing else to drink!
