Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You...

1. Given the chance, would you want to be President of your country? Why or why not?

Nope. Not a chance. I don't like hard decisions and I tend to dither. Not good.

2. What is your strongest argument FOR capital punishment?

Uh, well, assuming the right person was caught, if s/he's dead s/he won't be able to commit whatever heinous act s/he did ever again.

3. What is your strongest argument AGAINST capital punishment?

It is erratically applied, and the wrong person can be convicted and put to death.

4. Who is the worst criminal in the history of the world?

I wouldn't even begin to want to make this determination. I can make some suggestions: Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler, the people forcing children to become killers in Sierra Leone, several Russian tsars, several Romans who really enjoyed killing people far too much, Catherine Bathory....

5. Who is the worst criminal in your country's history?

Jim Jones? Truman? (I liked him, but he did kill a lot of people.) The people behind the whole "Manifest Destiny" concept?
