Is there someone who you like at the moment? I'm sorta partial to Beast, actually.

Have you ever given or been given roses? Yes, I've done both.

What is your all time favorite romance movie? The only one I can think of right now is "Ghost." For whatever that's worth....

Are most high school kids infatuated or in love? Most are in lust. A few are probably in love, but I would say that few people of any age can tell the difference easily.

Do you believe that everyone has a soul-mate? No.

Do you think that you should become friends with someone first? Yes. That's worked better for me.

Have you ever had your heart broken? Yes.

What do you think about long-distance relationships? I think they are very challenging. I think they can work if both individuals are relatively mature and have the same expectations of the relationship.

Your thoughts on online relationships? So far, three members of my family have met and become engaged to people they met online. Two of those couples are married. I don't think it's any different from meeting people face-to-face.

Would you rather date someone five years older or five years younger? At this point in my life, someone five years younger. But since I'm not dating, it's a moot point.

Have you ever seen a friend as more than a friend? Oh, yeah. High school was like that, y'know.

Do you believe the statement, "Once a cheater always a cheater"? Yep. Hard to change a leopard's spots.

How many kids do you want to have? One is good.

Do you usually fall for a wrong guy/girl or the right guy/girl? Well, I've managed to fall for one 'right guy.' Generally, I never went for 'bad boys.' This is one of those questions that I don't know how to answer properly.

What is your favorite color? Blue.

What are your views on gay marriages? I don't understand how two men getting married to each other (or two women) is going to undermine my marriage vows. There seem to be an awful lot of man/woman marriages doing just fine at undermining marriage; maybe we should just shut up, get out of other people's bedrooms, and deal with important things like starving children, AIDS in Africa, and too-freakin'-many bombs in the world.

Have you ever broken someone's heart? Yes.

Are you the one who makes the move or do you wait for them to make the move? Depends. It's been a long time since moves of this sort were made... :-) OK, but seriously, I do both--wait or not--depending on the circumstances.

Imagine you're 79 & your spouse just died, would you remarry? Not immediately. There's not a huge pool from which to choose. And at that point I would have been married for 57 years. Maybe I'll just enjoy being on my own for a while.

Do you think remarriage is betrayal? Nope.

At what age did you start noticing the opposite/same sex? I asked a boy to marry me at 4 or 5. But for real: 11 or so.

What song do you want played as you walk down the aisle? We used Handel's Water Music.

Who was your FIRST love? The boy I proposed to was named Chris. The first boy I had a crush on was J!m Ph!ll!ps.
