Testing, Testing...
1. When you were a student, would you have been more likely to turn your test in first or last?
First. Certainly among the first 5 or 6.2. Question 1 on a test can be narrowed down to either A or B (you’re sure it’s one or the other). Question 12 on the test can be narrowed down to the same two answers. You know one is A and the other is B. Do you go for the all-or-nothing guess (choosing A for one and B for the other) or do you play it safe and take one correct (choosing A for both questions)?
I don't really understand this situation, but I guess I'd play it safe and pick one answer for both.3. Are you more of a multiple-choicer, a true-falser, a fill-in-the-blanker, or a free-responder?
I'm a good test-taker. Bring any of 'em on!4. What are your thoughts on standardized college aptitude tests such as the SAT?
I sucked on the SAT (thus disproving my response to #3), but I think if you prep for it and generally do well on tests it's a good tool for evaluation. If you aren't a good test-taker, then the SAT and other tests are a nightmare. I do think that people taking it repeatedly to increase their scores is kind of stupid, and basing scholarships and college acceptance strictly on a number isn't really fair.5. In the past week, in what ways have you been tested?
Work is surprisingly stressful right now, not because of bad things, but because of GOOD things that need to be sorted out. And the people, of course. And that's why I'm playing hooky today.
