In honor of Valentine's Day, coming up:

Chocolates ~ Got a favorite brand or flavor? C'mon, admit it, you like to get a box of chocolates every once in awhile...

I really prefer the candy hearts, though I'll certainly eat chocolate. I'm weird this way, I know. I think Beast bought me a big box of chocolates for our first V. Day after we were married and I told him to skip that henceforth. He has; he's very smart. ;-)

Roses ~ What's your favorite colored rose? Have you ever seen a specialty variety like a Black Rose or Elizabeth Taylor Rose?

I like white and yellow roses best. I have seen black roses...shit, I've seen virtually every kind of rose imaginable: my mom had over 50 rosebushes in our yard! I really only like roses with scent and thorns, not long-stemmed 'plastic' roses that die within about 10 minutes of their arrival. I'm kind of a rose snob, actually.

Cards ~ Do you give cards? Do you like to receive them? How about Valentine's--do you make them with the kids?

I like giving cards, and receiving them. I used to make valentines with Sparky, when he was little, but of course now that he's in middle school, we don't even mention this particular holiday!! I think I will ask if he's going to work up the nerve to send a carnation to anyone at school this year.... What are my odds of getting a straight, honest answer? Slim.
