From Least To Most

1. When have you been most supportive of another human being?
One time I remember is when a friend got married and we spent forever taking photos before the wedding. As matron of honor, I spent much of that time fluffing her train and futzing around making her look lovelier. It was fun, but tiring.
2. When have you been least supportive of another human being?
What comes to mind is ripping into a friend in high school after she'd spent hours...days...whinging about her former boyfriend having the nerve to date other girls. She'd broken up with him. I was just tired of hearing and thinking how unfair she was being.
3. What is the most meaningful compliment that you've ever gotten?
My dad told me, as I arrived home from college for a visit, that I walked with confidence. Since I wasn't really feeling particularly confident at that time, it was a surprising and pleasant comment for him to make.
4. What is the least-deserved praise that you've ever been given?
Patrons at the library sometimes go a little overboard in thanking for the weirdest, most basic things: pencils, directions to the restrooms, that sort of thing.
5. When did you love the most?
About two days after coming home with Sparky from the hospital after his birth, I suddenly realized that I would have no qualms about killing anyone who tried to hurt him. That was scary, and very cool.
