Patrick's Weekender

(Link at left)

1. What do you generally find more offensive in a film: too much bad language or too much nudity?
It sort of depends on the company I'm in. If I'm with Sparky, nudity is uncomfortable. However, overall, neither of these things bothers me. It's the violence that gets to me. Not blood and gore, but hitting, shooting...ick.
2. You're touring an art museum and find that it has a special exhibit promoting the beauty of the human body that features live nude models. Would you walk into that room?
Sure. Why not? Again, I'd be less likely to do it in Sparky's company, mostly out of embarrassment for him.
3. What if you personally knew one of the models: would you walk into the room then?
I think I would. I'd probably already know that person was there, and in fact might be at the museum specifically to see "his/her show" anyway, so it would be weird to NOT go in.
4. Take the quiz: Do you have a dirty mind?
I took it a couple of months ago and got a PG-13 rating. That seems about right for the most part, although there are times when it's WAY too low!
5. You're cleaning house and you find pornography: would you be more upset if you realized that it belonged to your spouse, your child, or your parents?
Uhm, if I find my mom has been reading porn, I'd fall over dead right there. I'd be shocked, not upset, though. Again, it depends on the porn: Victoria's Secret catalog or Playboy? Or truly perverse stuff involving rope, animals, children, or fetishes? I would probably be most upset if I found the latter in any capacity, regardless of who bought it.
6. If a local referendum gave you the chance to outlaw all pornography in your state, would you want to see that pass or fail?
Fail. On the basis of the word "all." My 'art' could be your 'porn.'
