Transportation

1. How do you get from one place to the next? Car? Train? Walk? Something else? Do you like that mode of transportation? Why/why not?

We live far out away from everything, so driving is it (there is a small grocery store within fairly easy walking distance). There is no real mass transit around here, either, and I'm not likely to use it since my schedule tends to evolve over the course of the day.

Beast took the train to work for a couple of years when he worked in the Big City. His office was about a block and a half from the station, so it made sense. He'd do it again if he worked there, but there is literally NO way for him to get to work now without using a car.

2. Do you have a car? Do you like it? Do you like having it? Would you consider not having one? Why/why not?

I love my Ford Ranger! I like driving a manual tranny. I would NOT consider having a car; life would have to change completely.

3. What do you think of public transportation? Do you have good public transportation where you live? Do you use it? Why/why not?

I have no complaint about using public transportation, but it just doesn't exist in a useful format for us where we live/work. I have used the bus to get to work many times, and I'd be happy to use the train if I had to. But I don't.
