News and such…
1. In your opinion, does the news media focus more attention on good or bad news?
Bad. What good news? It's especially egregious on TV.2. What two things would you change about how the news is reported?
Less celebrity bullshit (as in none) on the national news, and more stand-up people who put their money where their mouths (and paychecks) are.3. Do you tend to watch the same news stations or do you change it around depending on the day?
I don't watch news on TV, except in emergencies. At that point, I start at CNN, then MSNBC and BBCAmerica, and also I will check the major networks to see what they've got going.4. Do you generally believe most of what the news media reports or do you tend to dismiss their reporting?
Everything on FOX is suspect. I literally only watch it if I don't have control of the remote...and even then I will leave the room most of the time.5. What are your two main sources of news (local TV, national TV, Internet, newspaper, etc.)?
The networks are pretty lame, but in a less willful way.
CNN has its issues too.
The most trustworthy, and erudite, I've found is BBCAmerica.
Internet (Google start page, and RSS feeds) and local newspaper.
