1. When you woke up this morning, what was the first thing you saw and the first thing you thought? I think that the first thing I remember seeing was my underwear drawer, in preparation for my shower. The first thing I remember thinking was waking up with the realization that of all the many gifts I've given a friend of mine over the years, I've never seen her use, display, or otherwise acknowledge one of them.

3. Who is your best friend of the opposite sex and would you ever date them? Beast. Yes.

5. Are you interested in anyone? I'm interested in lots of people, but I'm only "interested" in one.

6. What is your current problem? I have too much to do before Christmas and neither time nor motivation to do any of it...so I'm doing surveys instead, because I'm nuts.

8. What 5 things makes you most happy? Un-self-conscious smiles, kid giggles, sunshine (specifically sunrises in the summer), mountains, good music.

9. Best kind of kiss? The ones from someone who really wants to kiss you because they love you.

10. Favorite shape? NOT circles. I hate circles. So, uhm, rectangles, because they remind me of Cookie Monster.

11. If you could go back in time, and change something... I'd get my sister to the oncologist much sooner.

26. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose? Not since I sliced my thumb with a razor blade at about age 12. Odd. Didn't hurt at all...not for several hours. Nothing major, just the equivalent of a really bad paper-cut.
On the other hand, I self-sabotage emotionally on a semi-regular basis.

27. Say something totally random about you? I'm a good whistler (musically, at least).

28. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity? Not in seriousness.

26. What was the last thing you paid for with cash? A bottle of pop, a small container of Tylenol, and a plate of cookies this morning before the meeting.

29. What are you doing tonight? Filling out random surveys, because my brain is exhausted by listening to middle-school band music while sitting on bleachers for 2 hours.

34. Do you know any twins? Not well. I do know some triplets pretty well, though.

35. Do you have any weird relatives? Of course. Who doesn't?

36. What was the last movie you watched? "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" the other night.

37. When is your next date? Hmm...Beast? Why don't you field this one? :-)

38. Favorite smell? There's this interesting man-smell after he's been working outside for a day or camping overnight which I like.... And I like the smell of coffee brewing.

39. What is the weather like? Warmish/Coolish (depends on your perspective), foggy, and windy.

40. What is your favorite day of the week? Non-work related: Monday.

1. Last time you had butterflies in your stomach? Er...before calling someone on being a sh!thead last month? I can't remember the last time I was REALLY nervous. How interesting.

2. What did you dream last night? Out like a light thanks to Benedryl until I started thinking about Linda and the answer to the first Question 1.

3. Who is the friend/s you can count on the most? For differing reasons, Amy, Jenny, Beast, Beth.

4. Where was your first kiss with your current significant other? If you're single, where was your first kiss with your most recent significant other? WOW! I have to remember 24 years back?! Uh...I think it was towards the end of freshman year?? In his dorm room? In my dorm room? Was I drunk? I really, honestly, have no memory. I remember kissing H0nz@, L@Kelv!n, one or the other Steve...but not Beast. How odd.

5. Last time you kissed someone and who? I gave Sparky a goodnight kiss and hug before he went up to bed awhile ago.

6. What is something you've learned about yourself recently? That I really don't give a shit what people think about me in very many respects anymore. Car dancing, anyone?? :-)

7. Do you like anyone? Nope. I hate the human race. sigh Of course I do.

8. Do you know anyone who is engaged? Hello? I'm over the age of, oh, FIVE! Yes. My oldest niece is engaged. I even know pregnant people. And parents. And--gasp!--grandparents!!

9. What's your favorite number? 16. And 6. I've always been partial to both. Not sure why.

10. Who was the last person to make you cry? Myself. And my stupidity, losing $120 worth of stuff I bought yesterday....

11. Did you ever go to camp as a kid? No. But I went on a couple of long-weekend church retreats with the junior high youth group, and one 2-week driving trip to California as a sophomore in high school.

12. When was the last time you cried? Last night, see #10 just above.

13. What is one thing you miss about your past? Bouncing back from stuff faster.

14. What is one thing you've learned about life? It sucks, and then it doesn't, and then it does again. Roll with the punches.

15. Are you jealous of anyone? Not inordinately. I have very occasional envy, but no real jealousy.

16. Is anyone jealous of you? How the fuck would I know?

17. Has a friend ever used you? Well, I thought they were a friend....and then they weren't anymore. Not for a long time, let's put it that way.

18. Has anyone recently told you that they like you more than as a friend? No. I'd laugh in their face.

20. What are you looking forward to? Having Christmas over with.

21. How are you today? Tired and allergic to something.

23. Are you currently single? Only to the extent that Beast is about 200 miles away this week.

26. Have you ever kissed two people in one night? I'm assuming this is romantic kissing, not family members? Yes, but not for a LONG time!!

29. If you could change anything about your past, what would you change? I'd probably go easier on myself as a young adult (late teens and twenties).

30. Have you ever felt like killing somebody? Yes. Not in the past couple of weeks, though.

32. Has one of your friends ever stabbed you in the back? Not much of a friend..., but yes.

37. Has anyone ever cheated on you? Not to my knowledge...to the extent that it's possible to remember far enough back...because if Beast is cheating, #30 will have to be re-evaluated.

39. If so why? Sparky, dude, don't talk back to your mother! [This happened ONCE, about 2 years ago, and the flashback to my childhood was so severe that it cured me of doing it again]

40. What is [sic] some of your biggest fears of your life? Being found out, going blind, poverty, Sparky being hurt or killed, finding out I have PD or Alzheimer's....

41. Have you ever cried yourself to sleep? I don't think I ever have done this. My crying jags are NOT restful.

42. Have you ever not been able to get someone out of your head? That has, indeed, happened to me.

43. Are you a player? Hah. Nope. Hardly.

45. Have you ever had a good feeling about something and it turned out you were right? Yes, many times. And the opposite has been true: bad feeling that turned out to be all-too-accurate.

46. What's the largest age difference between yourself and someone you have dated? Does making out with someone for several hours one night after meeting him at around 6 p.m. count as a date? Cuz, that would be...uh...four years.

47. Have you ever dated/fooled around with a co-worker? Oh, ISH!! [I haven't worked with that many men, to start with, and then the guys I have worked with--while lovely, kind and wonderful in their own ways--and not date/fool around with types.]

48. Are looks important? Are you high!? Of course looks are important!

49. Does how many people a person has slept with affect the way you view them? Unfortunately, it colors my view if I know this about someone.

50. Do you believe in love? If I ever stop believing in love, I hope I die immediately, because otherwise, what's the point?
