M.A.S.H. vs. Cheers?
M.A.S.H., hands down. Ironically, I just bought Beast Season One of M.A.S.H. for his birthday...and we're probably getting several seasons of it for his folks for Christmas.
When was the last time you had a snow day?
Sparky and Beast had them last Friday. I'd already taken the day off work. Boo-hoo.
Have you ever quit smoking? Have you ever quit anything that was addictive? How did you do it?
I never started smoking, therefore never had to quit. Good thing, since I know I have a bit of addictive personality. I have had to walk away from lots of computer-related stuff in the past: games, mostly.
Do you blog early in the morning? Or at anytime of the day? Do you blog everyday or is it a bit of a hit and miss affair?
First thing in the morning, in the evenings and whenever the mood hits me at work. Also, if I have time, in the middle of the day at home.
So, tell us, what accent do you have? Does anybody famous has a similar accent? And what words do you mis-pronounce pronounce perfectly correctly?*

* Everyone else is saying them wrong!!
I think I sound like my oldest sister; we have similar tone-of-voice. However, she is very western. For instance, the town she in which she lives ends in "-edge" but she pronounces it "-ridge." Having lived further east for 20-plus years, I tend towards that flat Midwestern thing now, but I think I still have a bit of a western drawl. It definitely comes out when I head to Colorado. I know I talk much faster now than I used to, as well. I can't think of any words that I say wrong (I try really hard not to goof this up), though I do still say "kyoo-pon" not "coo-pon." Words that drive me nuts when people consistently mess up are "noo-kyuh-lur," "jew-luh-ree" and "ree-luh-tuhr." I get a good giggle out of "mis-chee-vee-yus" though. ;-)
When was the last time you treated yourself to any sort of pampering?
If the 90 minutes it takes me to get my hair done every six week counts, it's been about three weeks.
How would you explain how Fantasy Island worked?
I wouldn't even want to attempt this. I think I only watched it a couple of times; it was just too creepy/stupid for me, even at age 13!!
Do you send out Christmas cards? Do you think emailing Christmas cards is the same as mailing them?
If I had everyone's email address, I might consider sending them that way. But there is something very...concrete about the paper cards. We used to hang them up all around the house as they arrived, but we haven't done that as much recently. Maybe this year again... I haven't even gotten our stuff out this year, though I did check yesterday to be sure that I really do need to buy a bunch. Last year was "use up the leftovers" year, so we are completely out. We also haven't received any, which is unusual--we have some over-achiever friends who tend to mail them Thanksgiving weekend every year.
