1.Explain what ended your last relationship?

If we're talking 'romantic' relationship, I have no idea. I've been married for 20 years, and our relationship is going strong.

2. When was the last time you shaved?

It's winter, I'm married to a guy who doesn't care, and I'm a feminist. :-) Having said that, Monday? Saturday?

3. What were you doing this morning at 8 a.m.?

"This morning" it's 7 a.m. Yesterday morning at 8 I was sitting here answering email and reading my blogroll.

4.What were you doing 15 minutes ago?

Convincing myself to leave the warmth and comfort of my bed.

5. Are you any good at math?

Math, yes, if I have time to think. I can even still remember some simple algebra. Beyond that, not so much.

6. Your prom night?

I struck prom. Didn't go.

7. Are you related to anyone famous?

Not that I'm aware of, thank God.

8. Did you have to take a loan out for school?

Loans, grants, scholarships ... whatever was available. Fortunately, I mostly got 'free money' because of my grades, so the loans didn't take too long to pay off.

9. Do you know the words to the song on your myspace profile?

No yo tengo MySpace.

10. Last thing received in the mail?

I got an invitation to Christmas tea next week...and some cards.

11. How many different beverages have you had today?

I just got up! Still working on the first can of DP.

12. Do you ever leave messages on peoples answering machine?

Well, yeah. Otherwise, why call? I don't make many frivolous calls; if I pick up the phone, it's for a reason. Drives me nuts when people don't have a machine or vm.

13. Who did you lose your CONCERT virginity to?

Saw the Beach Boys after a baseball game when I was in high school. Then I was at a Paul Young concert in college...there's a long story there....

14. Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?

I guess I don't know beach etiquette; it would never occur to me to do this.

15. What was the most painful dental procedure you have had?

I hate the dentist! It's not the pain as much as the sounds and smells, and the needle. I've had four molars pulled, the four front ones to make room because of braces (my mouth is too small--shuddup!), and later my wisdom teeth, which came in when I was around 16. They were all done in the office using novacaine, not general anesthetic or laughing gas. One of the wisdom teeth just didn't want to come out, then part of the root broke off.... It didn't hurt at the time, but the SOUNDS--right next to my eardrum!--were torture, and it's never good to hear "oops" in that situation.
I've since had two crowns put in, and that was pretty awful both times as well.

16. What is out your back door?

Snow, the gas grill, a patio table and the remaining chairs, wood for the fireplace...uh...I think that's all.

17. Any plans for Friday night?

Tonight's the Christmas party for work.

18. Do you like what the ocean does to your hair?

Let's see: the last time I was at an ocean was...does the Aegean count? I wasn't in the water though.... The last time I was IN the ocean enough to get my hair involved was...1980? Didn't seem to bother me as I recall.

19. Have you ever received one of those big tins of 3 different popcorn?

Numerous times.

20. Have you ever been to a planetarium?

Many times, with school and not. I dated a guy in high school who LOVED Laserium.

21. Do you re-use towels after you shower?

We use our towels for a week. I thought everyone did. People actually wash SEVEN TOWELS per person EACH WEEK?!

22. Some things you are excited about?

My great-nephew, due next month, Christmas Eve, our new church building, shopping with Amy....

23. Favorite flavor of Jello?

Not fond of orange or lemon, but most of the others are fine. My dad loathed jello....

24. Describe your keychain(s)?

I've used the same one for about 15 years now: it's a big metal loop that will fit over my hand or a doorknob or the gearshift of the truck. It came with a whistle, which never worked and fell off within a year. I now also have a 4-inch flashlight attached to it. Keys: house key, both car keys, two keys for church... I think that's it. They're in the car right now, so I'm not going to go check.
Oh, and I have a separate keychain for work keys, door and bookdrop; it's a watering can. It was a freebie, and I was looking for something substantial that wouldn't break, and unusual so they wouldn't look like everyone else's keyring at work (we have a lot of "leave it laying around" people.

26. Where do you keep your change?

In my wallet. I spend it as soon as I get it, too, because it weighs so much!

27. What kind of winter coat do you own?

A new-last-winter gray ski-jacket with loads of pockets.

28. What was the weather like on your graduation day?

I don't remember high school--it was held inside--but the pictures show it was nice enough to be outside in short sleeves. College was hotter than hades; those pictures show me sweating...and smiling big enough to crack my face.

29. Do you sleep with the door to your room open or closed?

I'd really prefer it be closed, but then there's not enough air circulating to suit Beast, so we compromise at half-open.
