Explain what ended your last relationship?

My last romantic relationship? Well, seeing as how that was about 22 years ago...I think it was because he changed colleges. I've wondered off and on where he is, but his name is so 'normal' that Googling him is totally hopeless at this point.

When was the last time you shaved?

Yesterday? I think....

What were you doing this morning at 8 a.m.?

Sitting on the sofa.

What were you doing 15 minutes ago?

Hanging up the towel after my bath. Or maybe talking to Beast after coming back downstairs afterwards.

Are you any good at math?

Math? Sure. Anything beyond arithmetic...I wouldn't count on it, though I could probably puzzle out most algebraic equations.

Your prom night?

Boycotted. On principle. All three years I was in high school (9th grade was in jr. hi).

Do you have any famous ancestors?

None that I'm aware of. More likely to have infamous ones anyway!

Have you had to take a loan out for school?

I had some loans, but they've been paid off for over 15 years.

Do you know the words to the song on your myspace profile?

I don't do MySpace, but frankly, if I had a song on my profile, yer darn tootin' I'd know the lyrics!

Last thing received in the mail?

The usual run today: a couple of bills, a bank statement, and 5 political recyclables. Idiots.

How many different beverages have you had today?

Diet Dr. Pepper, Coke Zero, Diet Caffeine-Free DP, water. I think that's it: 4.

Do you ever leave messages on people’s answering machines?

I leave messages in voicemail. The only person I know with an answering machine is V, at work, and she screens all her calls. I talked to the machine till she picked up on Tuesday.

Who did you lose your CONCERT virginity to?

The Beach Boys.

Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?

How boring. No.

What’s the most painful dental procedure you’ve had?

The teeth-pulling didn't really hurt till afterwards, but the noise of the roots coming out was awful. As for pain...I'm thinking that simply getting the novacaine shots is wicked bad, and the whole crown-making procedure is just awful.

What is out your back door?

Which one? I have two back doors. The one to the porch leads to...the porch, with the grill, a table and chairs, a small woodpile, a chimney, and a fuckinghuge tree root (the last time I checked; maybe it's been burned by now).
The other back door goes out the garage into the yard. Pretty boring.

Any plans for Friday night?

We watched Survivor and CSI from last night, then "How Its Made" and now I'm listening to Bill Maher.

Do you like what the ocean does to your hair?

What? I haven't lived near the ocean, so I have no idea what this means.

Have you ever received one of those big tins of 3 different popcorns?

Yep.

Have you ever been to a planetarium?

Yes. My first boyfriend was a planetarium junkie. We went there on dates a lot.

Do you re-use towels after you shower?

Yes, of course I do.

Some things you are excited about?

Going to Florida in February, going to my niece's wedding in July...and the birth of my grand-niece.

What is your favorite flavor of JELLO?

I dunno, lime maybe? I rarely make it; only when I'm sick. Otherwise, I buy whatever's in those little containers, whatever flavor they are, for lunch on busy days.

Describe your keychain(s)?

My work keys are on a fob shaped like a watering can.
The rest of my keys are attached to ring that fits over doorknobs and my wrist, and it also has a mini-maglite on it.

Where do you keep your change?

I spend it!

When was the last time you spoke in front of a large group of people?

How large? Probably a meeting, or making an announcement at church.

What kind of winter coat do you own?

I got a new one last year for the first time in over 10 years. It's a ski jacket, complete with pass pocket--not that that will ever be used!

What was the weather like on your graduation day?

I know it was hot as hell at college graduation. It probably was at high school graduation too. They were both inside, so I have no real memory. I can tell you the dates though: high school was May 28 and college was May 18. And I didn't go pick up my master's diploma. I sure hope I've got it around somewhere.

Do you sleep with the door to your room open or closed?

I'd really prefer it to be closed, but it keeps our room too warm for Beast. I grew up with it firmly shut from age, oh 8ish, on. Beast, on the other hand, grew up with completely open bedroom doors. Weird.
