Monday's a Bitch

Shirley Temple

1. If my life were a drinking game, everyone would do a shot when...
...I said the words "book" or "library."
2. At what age (if ever) did you start to develop a taste for alcohol?
About 17.
3. When was your worst hangover? Was it worth it?
Probably after the New Year's schlag sophomore year. I blacked out (or, really, grayed out since I remember parts). I actually called my brother for advice the next day I felt so awful. Was it worth it? Well, yes and no. I got a very memorable lesson in what happens if you overindulge, moritified myself in several ways, and didn't hurt anyone in the process. I only got even close to this blotto one other time, but I've never blacked out. And the kicker: I'm ruined for cheap champagne; I can't even smell the stuff or I still, 22 years later, get nauseous. ONLY good stuff for me now!
4. What do you usually order when you're at a bar?
At a bar, I'm strictly V&T with a twist. If I'm eating with my drink, I'll have something sweeter: LIIT or RC/Cuba Libre.
5. a)how many drinks can you have before you reach lampshade levels?
and/or
b) what is your choice location for drinking? (bar, lounge, patio, etc.)
a) Nowadays, I rarely get to lampshade level. I estimate it would take two good-sized drinks before I really start acting goofy; one regular drink just loosens me up, and I stop there.
b) My favorite place to drink is either with a good meal (a nice white wine) or outside on a patio/deck on a summer evening. Bars are WAY over-priced, and the smoke bothers me. Besides they're loud.
