Hump Day

You Go, Girl! Day

Tell us about a woman who has done something you think is noteworthy. It could be a musician, a scientist, an athlete, or even your daughter.
I could go on and on...

My sister is pretty amazing; I'm not sure I could deal with caring for my mother and I know I wouldn't be able to tolerate my brother-in-law for 40 years as she has. Which leads to all the other women who care for sick family members....

My mom was pretty inspirational in that she braved my dad's ire and found a full-time job at time when women were supposed to be fulfilled by staying home with kids. I'm sure she never read "The Feminist Mystique" but she certainly lived it while Betty Friedan was writing it. And that leads to all the women before me who struggled and laid the groundwork so I wouldn't have to feel (as) freaky because I want a career.

Mary and Melinda, former pastors who proved that women really do have a place at the pastoral table not because they are women but because we are all human. Both of them went into their ministerial careers as middle-aged women.

I really could go on and on....
