Friday Five

the boob tube and you(tube)

1) What TV show(s) do you find yourself watching the most?
Which do I "find myself watching?" The answer to that is really "whatever Beast picks." Why do you think I'm online here so much!? {heh}

Having said that, if it's really bad stuff (e.g. boxing), I'll leave the room or ask for a change of channel. In time spent with the TV on, I'd say we watch mostly sports (the end of the Redskins game is on right now), science (Mythbusters, anyone?), The Amazing Race/Survivor, and CSI (either new episodes, on DVD, or on Spike TV).
2) What if any TV shows do you own on DVD?
None. We borrow them from our wonderful public library which buys a buttload of different things, from Buffy to CSI to Six Feet Under.
3) Can you name your favorite TV show theme song (I would encourage you to make a phone post and sing it to us)?
I'm NOT doing a phone post (because I'm cheap--it's a long-distance call), but I know a ton of theme songs. I even have a CD of 'classic' TV theme songs. My favorite changes regularly: Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, CSI (Who Are You?), The Brady Bunch, Friends, Partridge Family....
4) Have you ever been on TV and if so for what?
Yes, I was on TV for a few seconds during the 1980 Tournament of Roses parade; it was a perk of marching in the far right file.

Otherwise, I don't think I have. Not with my permission or knowledge certainly! And I'd like to keep it that way.
5) What is your favorite YouTube video (feel free to post a link)?
Right now we're discussing the Keith Olbermann "special comment" last week. If it doesn't fire you up, you're brain-dead or Republican. Oops, same thing.
