Weekend Musings

September 22

List five things you'd like to do before you shuffle off this mortal coil.
Take a balloon flight.
Learn to ride a motorcycle, and do some touring on one.
Visit Australia/New Zealand, Africa, and South America.
Fly in a small plane, maybe even fly one.
Spend quality time with grandchildren.
Do you eat tomato soup plain or do you doctor it up? If you do add things to it, what do you add?
I haven't had tomato soup in ages. I usually eat it plain, but sometimes I add some shredded cheddar or some soda crackers or onions.
Do you have a green thumb or do plants take one look at you and turn leaves up?
I did not inherit Mom's green thumb. I tend to forget to water indoor plants, or overwater them.
Are you prepared for bad weather? Do you have a weather emergency kit in your house?
Yes. And we have a weather radio with a very loud alarm. Most of the bad weather we worry about involve power loss due to storms (which happened 3 times this summer, for a total of about 48 hours), and tornados. We have water for drinking and "other" (when we lose power we lose water, too), and we are not shy about huddling in the basement when there's a tornado warning.
Were you aware that this is the Fall Equinox? Do you know what this means? Do you do anything special or is it just another day?
It's just another day, really, but I did read that right now the day is split pretty much in half between day and night. Kind of cool. For me, it really just means the days are going to get shorter and shorter now until Christmas
