Friday's Feast

Feast One Hundred & Nine

Appetizer
What are some lyrics you have misheard (such as, instead of "Gettin' Jiggy With It" you heard "Kick a chicken with it")?
Everything Elton John has ever recorded is completely NOT understandable to me. I just heard "Tiny Dancer" recently. When that first came out, I really could not make one part out; it was something about cheese, or freak-outs, or tickets for awe. A real mess. Here are the real lyrics:
Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad
And it's so not just me: see, no one can understand Sir Elton! Though I love his stuff.

What is the worst movie you have ever seen?
I don't think I've ever sat through a movie at a theatre that had no redeeming value somewhere (one has to justify the ticket price to oneself, after all). I didn't even mind "Snow Dogs" because I really love anything with James Coburn in it.

However, there are plenty of movies I won't watch when they "appear" on the screen at home. I haven't figured out the attraction of Adam Sandler or Ben Stiller; they just don't make me laugh. In any case, if a movie is that bad, I don't actually waste time waiting for it to redeem itself; I'm not afraid to use the 'off' button.

Still haven't watched "A Clockwork Orange" for this reason. I just can't get past the first scene, no matter how many times I sit down and try to force myself through it. I understand it's a Great Movie, but not for me.

Using the letters from your favorite number, write a sentence. Example: Tomorrow has really easy experiences.
Since I said last night that my favorite number is 16, this is going to be a pain! :-)
"Someone is xylophoning the extraordinarily easy "nocturne."
OK?
Main Course
What was the most interesting news story you have heard this week?
I don't normally pay the slightest attention to the news, but this week I have had Anderson Cooper on in the evenings a couple of times. Here's my picks, in order:
Katrina anniversary
The nutcases in the Colorado City area whose leader is in jail (thank God).
The whole JonBenet Ramsey debacle. To be honest, I haven't really paid a lot of attention to this, but I did hear that this guy who confessed has been released.
Dessert
Which word(s) would you choose to describe your wardrobe?
Comfortable, casual, and in need of ruthless weeding.
