Four for Friday

September 15

Q1 - Law Enforcement: Generally speaking, do you trust the police? How about the police in your town?
In the big picture, if I needed help, I would trust the police in town and elswhere. In the smaller, day-to-day picture, I have reservations. There are times when the local cops seem a little...unintelligent. I also have heard that they tend to practice some un-PC profiling-type behavior toward people with skin color that doesn't appear to be northern European.
Q2 - Equestrian: Have you ever ridden a horse? If so, do you remember his or her name? If not, and if you were asked to name someone else's horse, what would name it?
Sadly, I have not ridden a horse. I'm hoping to remedy that this weekend (we'll find out if I'm allergic to horses at that point!). If I had to name someone else's horse, I'd ask why they couldn't do the honors themselves as they are the ones who have to use the name!
Q3 - Cameras: Do you think it's a good or bad idea to allow cameras in courtrooms?
I think it's a great idea, but not for television viewing, strictly for clarity in the midst of a trial.
Q4 - Break-ins: Has your car or home ever been broken into? If so, what was stolen and was any of it ever recovered?
I feel like I'm tempting fate here...Beast and I have never been burgled. He tends to lived at the paranoid end of the spectrum, so doors are locked and checked regularly. The only B&E that's happened is us breaking into our house this summer when we had no power and no keys.
