By the Way Sunday

~Recreation This-n-That~

By the way, what's your choice...

White Water Rafting or a Hot Air Balloon?
I'd love to balloon. One of these days, Beast is going to get the hints I've been dropping for 2 decades about this!
However, I wouldn't mind doing a whitewater raft trip once, either.
Monopoly or Poker?
I love board games; I'm a sucker for anyone who brings one out and asks for volunteers. Having said that, I'm not a huge fan of Monopoly, and I've come to love poker. So, poker it is.
Home Cookout or Favorite Restaurant?
Restaurant. I don't like burgers much, nor barbecue. Yes, I'm now going into the Witness Protection Program because that's just un-American!
Badminton or Volleyball?
Jeez, I haven't played badminton for years! We used to have killer games at my sister's house... sigh...
Uhm, volleyball hurts my arms, so gimme the birdie!
Billiards or Ping Pong?
I suck at ping-pong. I suck at billiards, too, but it takes longer to get frustrated with that one.
Minature Golf or Laser Tag?
Mini-golf. Lazertag takes too much equipment and would tend to make me sweat too much for enjoyment.
Pool or Lake?
{Shrug} I can't swim, so it doesn't matter. For the scenery, I'll say Moosehead Lake, but NOT the lake in the town where I live! We have a really nice pool nearby if I need to cool off in the summer.
Shopping or a Movie?
If it were my decision, I'd usually pick movie, but that presumes there are decent movies available on which to drop money.
Camp Site or Hotel?
Here's a hint: don't EVEN mention the word "tent" to me! Hotel all the way, 100%.
Mountain Biking or Horseback Riding?
Horses are much quieter and less destructive of the environment.
Reading a Book or Playing Video Games?
Three years ago, I would have easily said reading, but they've come out with some really good video games since then... Still, book, but by less of a margin.
Bird Watching or Cave Exploring?
Birds bore me to death (my boss and her husband do this...yawn). Caves scare me. Can I just sit by the lake and sleep?
Sailing or Jet Skis?
Since I can't swim, both of these terrify me. From my point of view though, jet skis are the spawn of the devil (see mountain bikes above).
Flea Market or Football Game?
Oh, so TOTALLY NOT a contest: Football!
Fishing or Swimming?
Fishing. Bet that's a shock eh? Actually, my brief experiences with fishing in Maine showed me how hypnotic and relaxing it is to cast. I don't really care about catching anything, and that seems to be ok with some fishers, too.
