2. The leaves on the trees are tired of staying green. The all look faint from the heat. 3. School supplies are on sale everywhere. I love school supplies. 4. I'm finally caught up at work. This happens every year: for some reason we stop buying books in July for a few weeks and things slow down for me. 5. It's still hot out. 6. Sparky picks up his schedule next week. I need to find the information the school sent to figure out what he needs to take with him when he goes over there. 7. We are cramming a month's worth of visits into the last two weekends of August, and even into Labor Day. 8. Road construction crews are panicking about the fact that it's August and working later, causing traffic to snarl endlessly. I don't love this. 9. Football has started. OK, preseason football, but hey: the SI Football Issue arrived this week. As soon as I can peel it from Beast's fingers, I'll be perusing it. 10. The two pregnant women with whom I work are becoming immense. My niece is complaining about being "fat" at her halfway mark. I doubt she even looks pregnant compared to the women at work! 11. Next month is our 20th reunion at college. It will be fun to see old faces...not that they're old...well, actually... ;-) 12. In two weeks, we'll be back on a regular schedule with work and school. Thank GOD! 13. In two weeks, I will be at the city Rec Center signing myself and Sparky up for access to the weights, pool, gym, etc. We both need to work off some pounds. |
