Thursday Thirteen

Right. I'm so irregular about doing this one, but my schedule today has me very focused.

My theme for today is Things To Do to Survive a Boring Meeting (or Training Session). Some of these were taken from a long emailed 'conversation' earlier this week.
  1. Doodle (of course)
  2. Make lists (I usually do grocery lists)
  3. Read a book surreptitiously (or not)
  4. Eye exercises (eyerolling is the best one)
  5. Knit
  6. Bead
  7. Plan creative ways for the annoying people in the meeting to die. Soon.
  8. Redecorate the room in your mind: colors, fabrics, furniture...the whole thing. Make it into a bar, a movie theater, a shop...whatever.
  9. Sleep (always a plus if you are able to do so with eyes open)
  10. Redecorate the people speaking; almost always you could turn them into a whole show of "What Not to Wear."
  11. Count down the number of seconds left in your life.
  12. Plan your retirement, year-by-year (or, if the meeting keeps going, month-by-month)
  13. Excuse yourself for the restroom, and play in the sink for 20 minutes (think 2-year-olds here...this is much better if you have makeup--or something--you can add to the party...bubbles are good, too)
I promise to omit a few of these today, contingent on the person doing the training pulling his (or her) head out for air once in awhile.
