National Underwear Day

[who knew there was a day, and why did they pick a day in August??]

from NotShy

1. What product, interesting human condition, and/or entity needs its National _____________ Day?
National Negativity Day, when all grousing would be done for the remainder of the year. Actually, we may need to have one of those every month or so....

'Course, we could schedule a National Day of Procrastination, but... {badum bum} you fill in the punch line
2. Who would the spokesperson be?
Negativity Day: so many choices. Ralph Nader, maybe? Al Gore? Ann Coulter...! Yes, definitely her.

Procrastination Day: I don't think we could find anyone who was free on...what was the date of that again?
3. We've all heard the hoary old joke about Mother's Day and Father's Day and how every day is "Children's Day." But let's say we establish a National Children's Day. All of our days have rituals--Roses on Mother's Day, parades on Martin Luther King and Thanksgving Days, ect. What rituals should we adopt to commemorate Children's Day?
We should all have to hang upside-down on the monkey bars for fifteen minutes and then eat and/or drink 2 lbs. of straight sugar and run around chasing each other and screaming "COOTIES!!" Let's see, uh, and we could be really mean to one another and then all cry because we don't have any friends.

Or is that verging too close to National Teenager Day?
4. Many people know about the unofficial celebrations of "Gay Days" at Disneyworld, which celebrated its 15th Anniversary this year (I went in '99). I'm wondering, what other groups need to create their special day at Disneyworld, where they can gather, wear the same colored t-shirt and know they are in a park joyfully filled with people just like them?
I think librarians need a day at Disney all to themselves. It would be very quiet, except for the passive-aggression going on everywhere.
5. So it IS National Underwear Day, so....
briefs, boxers, boxer briefs, commando, underwire, sportsbra, pantyhose, girdle, granny panties, etc....What are you sporting today?
Sweatshirt-gray bikinis briefs and a white VS demi.
