1. Where were you 1 hour ago?

At the grocery store buying something for Sparky for dinner. The boy is NEVER not hungry!

2. Who will be your next kiss?

Sparky's bedtime kiss on the top of the head, the cheek or the glassses--wherever it happens to land. I'm lucky to get it at all.

3. What is the largest amount of money you spent in one store?

If we eliminate cars, plane tickets, and houses, the answer is probably either a computer or furniture. Actually, when we bought our first house, we spent a helluva lotta money in one trip to Menard's on things like a lawn mower, assorted garden tools, plants, you name it.

4. Where did you go on your last date?

We went on a weekend together last month for our 20th anniversary. It's the closest to a date we've been on in awhile.

5. When is the last time you went to the mall?

I believe that would be the last time Amy and I went shopping, about ... er ... three months ago? Malls are kind of, uhm, not my thing.
Anymore.

6. Are you wearing socks right now?

It's August! Are you serious? Absolutely not! I haven't worn socks since trying on sneakers a couple of weeks ago. If I could go barefoot year-round, I would.

8. When was the last time you drove out of town?

This afternoon. I drive out of the small city in which I work (and where Sparky goes to school), past several cornfields and a couple of horse farms in order to reach the "village" in which I live.

9. Have you been to the movies in the last 5 days?

Nope. I consider it amazing if I see a movie every 2 or 3 months.

10. What are you wearing right now?

Alaskan beaded earrings (gift from the in-laws). My glasses.A sleeveless collared shirt from a golf course in Iowa (one of two of the exact same shirt I have--to a place I've never been....don't ask). My watch, my wedding and engagement rings, and another ring on my other hand. Blue-and-white checked capris. Two silver toe rings. And underwear.

11. Do you wash your car or let the car wash do it?

I let Beast deal with it. He usuaully takes it to the carwash at the gas station.

12. Last fast food you ate?

Official fast-food: a malt from Culver's yesterday.
Sparky and I walked to a local sandwich shop for lunch today; it was far from fast. They have really slid downhill in the past year or so.

13. Where were you Friday night?

I think I was home. I can't actually remember.

14. Have you bought any clothes in the last week?

I don't think so. The past week is a bit blurry to me. Oh, wait...yeah. We bought Sparky a T-shirt last Thursday. What a disaster that morning was!

15. When is the last time you ran?

No one has been chasing me lately. That's the only time I run.

16. What’s the last sporting event you watched?

There was a football game on the TV Sunday, but I wasn't really watching it. However, this is the first week of preseason football, so I'm pretty stoked....

17. What was your favorite class?

I rarely didn't like a class. It would be easier to name a class I hated.

I really enjoyed independent-study Spanish in high school. I liked Chemistry in high school too. In college, both classes I took with Lamar Cope were outstanding: The New Testament, and Jesus of Nazareth.

18. Your dream vacation?

Two weeks in Italy and Greece followed by a week-long safari in Africa would just about do it for me.

19. Last person's house you were in?

I suppose this doesn't mean my own house....
I think it must have been last Thursday when I dropped off Sparky at C.'s house; I went inside for a couple of minutes.

20. How old are your parents?

My dad stopped aging at 75. He was two years older than Mom, who is going to be 85 at the end of this year.

21. Are you in love?

Yup.

22. Do you miss anyone?

Depends on how long I take aim.

23. Last play you saw?

Last summer's kids' musical was Peter Pan. It was outstanding. But that's an awful long time between shows for me.

24. What are your plans for tonight?

Watch a couple of CSI episodes on Spike TV and go to be by 9:30. I have to be up at 4:30 tomorrow.

25. Who is the last person you sent a message to on Myspace?

I've been to Myspace about four times and never for more than 3 minutes at any one time. I don't even know how to message someone there.

26. Ever go to camp?

Nope. The closest I ever came was junior high and high school retreats with church, never more than a couple of nights on a weekend.
I was so deprived, eh?

27. Were/are you an honor roll student in school?

Yeppers. Every semester.

28. What do you want to know about the future?

I'd like to know right now how Sparky is going to turn out.

29. Are you wearing any perfume or cologne?

This morning was so totally fucked up that I didn't even get any deodorant on! I did manage to lotion up with some nice-smelling stuff, though, so I wasn't hideous to be around. Perfume just didn't get there today.

30. Are you hungry?

Nope, I'm good. You?

31. Where is your best friend located?

My best girlfriend is in Wisconsin, I guess. She does live there.
My bestest friend, though, is currently in Cincinnati on business.

33. Do you have a tan?

I have my usual August decent crop of freckles.

34. How old do you want to be when you have kids?

Looks like I'll be a mom for the rest of my life at this point.

35. Do you collect anything?

It's a long story, but I have a growing collection of salt & pepper shakers, and salt-dishes and -spoons.

And I collect a LOT of dust.

36. Last time you got stopped by a cop or pulled over?

Probably about 6 years ago when I didn't come to a complete stop at a newly-placed stop-sign near our church. I was stopping at church anyway, and I was let off with a warning because a) I had a clean record, and b) I was on my way to Bible Study.

37. Have you ever drank your soda from a straw?

What a totally weird question. Of course I have: every time I eat out.

38. How do you like your drinks?

Cold, and wet. Just like dogs' noses are meant to be.

39. Do you like hot sauce?

Yes'm.

40. Last time you took a shower?

About 12 1/2 hours ago.

41. Do you need to do laundry?

Not really. Well, I could probably stand to wash out a little lingerie.

42. What is your heritage?

All-American mutt: mostly northern European. Dutch, British, Scotch-Irish, French (and then French-Canadian)...and probably a few other things.

43. Are you someones best friend?

I think so.

That's kind of a weird question to think about.

What happened to 44-48??

49. Are you rich?

In American terms, hell no.

In world terms, hell yes.
