Friday Fun

Friday Fan

1. Are you a die hard fan of a particular TV show or movie?
Wouldn't it be amusing to actually be able to say you were a die-hard fan of the "Die Hard" movies? Or, well, no it wouldn't be; it would just be sad.

I don't think I'm a die-hard fan of anything much, actually. I used to be a Trekkie, but I recovered. I love CSI right now (have I mentioned that recently?!). And I like The Amazing Race and Survivor. Those three are the only shows I tape. I rarely re-watch movies, though I do like the Matrix movies, and "Heathers," which was (is?) running this month and is just as perverse as ever.
2. Are you a sports fan? If so, who or what team?
The Pack! We also cheer on the Cleveland Browns and--now that John Elway is gone--the Denver Broncos. And I've developed a sort of underdog-crush thing on the Saints. I rarely crush on individual athletes anymore, though I certainly think Brett Favre is ok to watch, playing or talking...whatever.
3. Is there a celebrity that you are a fan of? Why?
The only one that comes to mind immediately is Bono in terms of "fandom." I think Kanye West is interesting, and I really admire The Dixie Chicks for not backing down. George Clooney seems to have his act together and knows how to sell himself fairly appropriately. But there's not really anyone that I unreservedly worship.

Except, maybe, Nelson Mandela.
4. Are you a fan of any particular product? What is it and why?
Clean Shower is nice; don't have to scrub down the shower so often or with so much energy as when it isn't used.
Mechanical pencils are rocking my world lately; they're never dull. I hate dull pencils!
The Garmin GPS I got for Mother's Day continues to pay for itself over and over in lots of weird little ways.
Patanol eye-drops: without them I would be beyond miserable and perhaps hospitalized. Actually, I should add Allegra to this, because I know I'd be in dire shape without taking this.
Diet Dr. Pepper makes it possible for me to function every day, even on days when I feel like a truck hit me, or when I only get 5 hours of sleep.
Vicky's for design and practicality, and for the entertainment value of the stores and catalogs.
Delivered pizza for being the backup plan almost every night around here (not that we HAVE pizza every night, but just knowing it's there helps me survive.

Is that enough...?
