1. I used to go hiking for a full day in the mountains alone with my little black terrier, alone. And my parents never worried.

2. I usually spent about an hour putting on makeup every day in junior high and high school. I had to get up at 5:30 a.m. in order to be ready to leave at 7:30 for school. [It only took me an hour and a half to get ready for school, from breakfast through makeup and hair prep.]
