Animals

1. What's your favorite animal (This doesn't have to be a mammal, mind you!)? Why?

Virtually anything in the dog family: dogs, wolves, foxes, even coyotes. I just like dogs. I've had lots of good experiences with dogs, and only one relatively bad one (with a Peke who bit me on the ankle, when I was a kid...shitty little dog....). The last time we were in Maine, there was a family of foxes living near where our cabin was, and we could watch them trailing to and fro.

Dogs, in spite of all of my knowledge to the contrary, just look smart. And cute. And pettable.

2. If you could come back as any animal, what would it be? Why?

A wolf would be nice, but they are endangered and that would suck.
How about a grizzly? Bears actually terrify me, but if I were one it would be cooler than cool.

3. As pets, Betta fish live in vases or bowls by themselves. Do you suppose they have stressful lives ever? How so/how not?

I'm afraid fish bore the snot right outta me. Stress? I think not.

Bonus Question for Comments: Are you glad your're a human being instead of, say, an amphibian? Why/why not?

Well, yeah. Amphibians tend to be used and abused by humans for any and all purposes. There aren't too many animals I'd trade places with: a housecat or -dog, or a dolphin or shark. Otherwise, no, I'd rather be a human.
