If you did not work (or if you don't) how much TV would you/do you watch during the course of the day?
When I'm not working, I watch entirely too much TV. Now, with the additional lure of HBO and DVDs, I'd be glued to it.How long have you held your current job and how does it rate against your former jobs as far as overall happiness?
If I ever stop working, I'll have to sell the TV. :-)
I started working at this library 10 1/2 years ago. I've been the cataloger for 3 1/2 years. It's the best workplace I've ever had, hands-down.If you had to describe the thing done by someone at work that drives you the craziest, what would you say?
Talking while I'm trying to work: I work in a cube in a room that serves as the "cool-off" area for the entire building. The staff room is far away, so staff comes into the work room to discuss patrons and policy, and to gossip. It drives me absolutely nuts. Hence, headphones and Yahoo! Music or Pandora. If you could have someone at your current place of employment fired, would you do so?
I wouldn't do this. Most people do enough on their own to screw themselves into this situation. I try very hard not the comment on other people unless specifically asked, and then I try very hard to be tactful in response.Do you work a typical "9 to 5" Monday through Friday work schedule?
I'm fortunate to have a good boss whose major flaw is kindheartedness, but she's not stupid. There is one individual who is doing his level best (unintentionally) to get himself fired; I don't need to help him along at all. Everyone else...hey, I've worked in environments where the other shoe could drop at any time and it's not really conducive to good morale.
I work 7:30 or 8 until 4ish on Tuesday & Wednesday. Thursday I'm there 12-9. I work every other Friday or Saturday (one week Fri., the next week Sat.) 9-5ish. I also pull Sunday duty about every 8 weeks, 1-4 p.m.
So, no. :-)
