1. Are you a workaholic, or lazy? Or in between?

I am... well, I guess I'm both at different times. I'm a huge workaholic about some things, and totally, witlessly lazy about other things. They tend to fall on the same spectrum as the like--dislike continuum.

2. Do you think people are overworked today, or do you think they manage a good balance of work and non-work life?

I think Americans are expected to do an awful lot more than we used to be, given fewer resources, fewer employees, less time off...and the ever-present expectation of more work (including working at home on our own time), and the spector of certain unemployment if we decide that doesn't work for us.

I covet, openly, the 5 weeks of vacation that many Europeans receive.

On the other hand, I think a lot of Americans tend to like the bragging rights we accrue by working so hard. hee

3. What's one job that you'd gladly put in hour and hours of overtime for?

I put in lots of overtime doing my job already, mostly when I get behind in cataloging. I don't mind; I get paid by the hour as long as I don't go over 40 per week. And, I like my job.

4. Fun, random question: Do you prefer hot dogs or hamburgers at a cookout, and why?

Hot dogs. I don't really like either, frankly. Usually, I hit the chips and salads, and desserts
