A Sleep Meme

Two of my favorite things in one post title! Thanks, Lisa!

1. Do you use an alarm clock to wake up?
I use a Bose that is set to wake me up. Since I wear earplugs, it's turned up fairly loud, but I usually wake up as soon as it goes off.
On the other hand, I usually wake up around 6:45 most days even if I set the radio to turn on later.

2. What time does your alarm go off?
Work days I'm up around 6:15. Otherwise, it depends on what the day holds.

3. What sound does it make?
Local radio. I was told the teens call it Starve 105 because the music is so bad. I tend to agree, but needs must: it's the only local weather on the radio.

4. Do you hit the snooze button? How many times?
In the winter, I abuse the snooze a lot. Not so much in summer.

5. If you have a partner, do they have a separate alarm?
Definitely: he's on a different schedule from me, usually out of the house by 5:20 so he can leave work by 3 or so.

6. Does your partner get up at the same time, earlier or later?
See above, but if it's not a workday, he usually sleeps later.

7. Is your clock set ahead? If so, by how much?
Mine is set 10 minutes ahead; Beast's is set 5 minutes ahead. The one in the bathroom is right. I think.

8. What's the first thing you do when you get up?
Almost every morning it's visit the plumbing.

9. Do you eat breakfast? If so, what?
Bagel & cream cheese with Diet Dr. Pepper.

10. How long does it take you to get ready?
I can be ready in 20 minutes, but I usually take a little over an hour so I don't feel so frazzled all day.

11. On the weekends, what time do you get up?
I wake up around 7. Depending on whether I work, and whether we're going to church, I usually doze for awhile. Or not. It's variable.

12. Do you lounge or do you jump into action?
See 11. Normally, I get moving pretty immediately.

13. In an ideal world, what time would you get up?
In the summer, 6. In the winter, 8.

14. How many hours of sleep do you typically get?
I hover in the 6-7 range most of the time. Otherwise, I don't sleep well.

15. How many hours of sleep do you want to get?
If I sleep more than 8 for more than a couple of nights, I don't sleep well for several days after that. I definitely need more sleep in the winter for some reason.
