Saturday 6

Episode 112

1. Have you made any plans for summer vacation? Will rising gas prices have any direct impact on your plans?
We aren't going anywhere very far on vacation. We are, however, driving 1000 miles to the Biloxi area this coming week, which is going to eat up a lot of gas.

My other week of vacation will be spent on our annual vacation-with-friends in a rental house in a resort about 3 hours from here. We usually pretty much only sit around and go to the resort pool for a week, so I doubt that will have any affect.

We may drive to Ohio too. That's not planned yet, however.

2. What quality do you hope most readers will observe in you through your primary blog?
I think it used to be that I was witty and intelligent.

Lately, the most that anyone is going to get out of it is that I'm frustrated and angry.

I guess the overwhelming point is that I'm real.

3. What quality do you think you possess that comes through the least effectively through your primary blog?
That I don't generally scream at people all day, nor is my job ALL THAT.

4. Take the quiz: Who were you in high school?
When I took it the last time, I was the Arty Kid.

This time:
All American Kid

Popular but not plastic. Athletic but not a jock. Smart but not a brain.

You were well rounded and well liked in high school.

And it's so WRONG. I was NOT popular, not particularly athletic (though I did ok in gym class), and I had one of the top 3 GPAs senior year.

5. What logo or message is on the last container you drank from?
Just your basic Diet Dr. Pepper can. No other logo.

6. You find out that a co-worker you consider a close friend is stealing supplies from work. You know that if you tell your boss, your friend will likely be fired. If you began to think that your boss suspected that you might be the person stealing the supplies, would you tell on your friend?
Presumably we're not discussing paperclips here, right? I'd actually confront my friend fairly soon after I found out and tell her to knock it off or I'd go to the boss and let the boss know that theft was occurring. After 13 years as a parent, I have become pretty good on follow-through with threats.

I worked in a similar situation to this for awhile. I swore I'd never let it happen again. Luckily, I've never had to deal with it again. Yet.
