1. How many cop shows can you name?

Before I start, I'll guess between 12 and 15, off the top of my head:
CSI (all 3 of them), Quincy, Adam-12, Hill Street Blues, Baretta, Cop Rock, Mannix, Law & Order (all three? of them), Miami Vice, CHiPs, Columbo, Cagney & Lacey, Dragnet, The Rockford Files, Without a Trace, Cold Case, JAG, NCIS, Starsky & Hutch, Kojak, Hawaii Five-O, Monk...
OK, so I got 22 with some help (because I couldn't remember names, just "that show with James Garner" and "dude with the bird")

2. Do you send text messages?

I've done about 12 in my life. It's cheaper, and faster, to call.

3. If you could be on a gameshow (current or old), which one would you be on and why?

I'd probably hit "Deal or No Deal" because I understand it. Or "Hollywood Squares" because it's fact-based. I always loved "Password" too.
I'd NEVER be on a show that involved pure and unadulterated luck. I'd NEVER be on "Family Feud" or on "Match Game."
And I loathe...LOATHE..."Wheel of Vanna."

4. What are some of your favorite websites?

Blogger, Google, Gmail, Weather Underground, Rotten Tomatoes, imdb, and my blogroll.

5. What are your favorite things about the internet?

I find the weirdest connections on the net and sometimes that's cool (sometimes it's just annoying).
The best thing is that with a little skill and perserverence, you can find information about ALMOST anything online, at least a basic outline. Which reminds me, I need to look up MSA....

6. What about least favorite?

It's not the net's fault, but I'm getting really tired of the tendency for otherwise-smart people to think that if they didn't find it on the net it a) doesn't exist, and/or b)they've fully researched the subject. Sometimes, people, a little legwork is what's called for!

7. What are some good ways to deal with a pet loss?

We're dealing with it by talking about it when the subject comes up. I'm wondering if we need to buy another guinea pig to keep Buddy company, but I haven't said anything yet to anyone else.
I would generally not suggest 'replacing' a pet right away.
