Remote Control Day:
1. What are your favorite TV shows? If you can, also tell us the one show you absolutely HATE to miss.
CSI, Survivor and The Amazing Race.
It's annoying to miss either of the last two; you can't watch the following episodes until you've caught up.
2. Who handles the remote control in your household?
Whoever is sitting in the Big Chair (it really is big). Normally, Beast or Sparky. I just don't tend to care what's on since I don't pay a lot of attention to it.
3. How many remote controls are there in your house? Not counting your childrens' appliances.
2 TV (though one has been missing for years), 1 DirecTV 2 VCR, 1 DVD, 2 radio, 1 CD player.
I'm not counting the garage door openers, or Sparky's wireless controls for the Game Cube.
4. Do you flip through the channels mindlessly, or do you stick with one or two channels?
I flip through the satellite channel listings a lot...not really mindlessly, but searching, searching for something, anything to watch.
5. Adam Sandler's latest movie is "Click," about a guy who discovers a remote control that works on life. If you could have such a device, how would you put it to use?
As I alluded to over the weekend, it would be nice to pause and really appreciate the good or calm moments of life, and to replay them. The pause button would also come in handy for those moments when you can't think of the right thing to say, either a witty comeback for an insult or words of comfort.
And I'd fast forward through the miserable days in February/March when everyone is crabby, the weather is pretty sucky, and life is really blah.
Sunday night
