On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest), how funny do you think you are?
Normally, I'd give myself about an 8. Maybe after a week dealing with other people's problems, I'll be able to approach 7 again. Right now I'm feeling very 4ish.

Name a local restaurant would you recommend to a visitor to your town or city.
Waverly H*use G*ld N*te. Decent food, great local music.
Strictly for food: Pirr*'s, for Italian. Or the Grand *ld Mill for stupendous 'cuisine' in what looks like a bar when you walk in the door.

What's a lesson you were lucky enough to learn the easy way?
Almost all of my life lessons as a kid were learned the easy way. This is the curse (blessing?) of being last in the line of siblings who are much older than you, as long as you pay attention.
I can't think of a specific one, however, unless it is that when you are given a gift, a large sacrifice-requiring gift, you shouldn't use it until bored and then throw it in the face of the giver. Go read the parable of the Prodigal Son, at least the beginning.

Where would you like to be 5 years from now?
In five years, Sparky will be in his last week of high school. I'd like to see him safely off to college and then go on a bang-up vacation, like my parents did the September I went to college! :-)

If you could see the front page of a newspaper from June 2, 2106, what would you imagine the headline might be?
Using the term "newspaper" loosely (pretty sure we won't be using paper to communicate by then--I hope)...I'd say there's a pretty good chance the headlines will cover the usual topics: war, politics, and (if it's a local paper) cute kids graduating from area schools.
That's pretty much what the front page of the early June papers looked like around here in 1906, and that's why keeps popping up in the local paper this week.
