Miscellanea

from NVNC ID VIDES, NVNC NE VIDES

1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18 and find line 4.
Elie Wiesel's "Night":
...were not carrying away gold, silver, or other valuables. There...

2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, what do you find?
The instruction booklet for "Enter the Matrix" for GameCube.

3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Bill Maher's show, last night. Erica Jong is a complete ditz.

4. Without looking, guess what time it is.
I'm all messed up with the time change and all: my guess is 8:45 a.m.

5. Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?
It's 8:44 on the computer clock: not bad. The clock here in the living room still says 7:45--haven't changed it yet.

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Two people showering (hope there's water left when it's my turn!) and the heat blowing through the vents.

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
Yesterday when the boys brought me home from work.

8. Before you started this survey, what did you look at?
I think I was at Presurfer.

9. What are you wearing?
My jim-jams: Green snowmen are dancing all over me. They're flannel. I'm middle-aged. What can I say? :-)

10. Did you dream last night?
Oh, I had another doozy: my brother & his wife, two contestants from TAR, and another couple and us were moving into an apartment/townhouse together. There was something about Cinnamon running away and hiding under cupboards. And this apartment had three kitchens and six giant bathrooms. I was baking bread in one oven while everyone toured the apt. That's just scratching the surface of the weirdness.

11. When did you last laugh?
Yesterday. I'm sure I laughed. I don't remember what I was laughing at...

12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
The painting my second cousin did for us as a wedding present (of Canyon de Chelly), two Eqyptian papyri, and two surround-sound speakers. Not a lot of wall space in this room...

13. Seen anything weird lately?
Uhm...someone processed a DVD very strangely recently, and it showed up on my desk yesterday. My son having a back spasm last night (more icky than weird, but still...).

14. What do you think of this quiz?
Interesting. A bit all over the place, like me.

15. What is the last film you saw?
Scooby-Doo 2. Sad. But true.

16. If you turned into a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
I'd pay off the house. I'd buy a couple of new cars. I'd hire someone to deal with the lawn/yard. I'd get a hot-tub installed in the house. I'd set up a foundation. And, yes, I'd keep working at the library.

17. Tell something about yourself you haven't mentioned on this blog.
I always said I'd never date a football player.
So, instead, I not only dated one, I married one.

18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt and politics, what would you do?
I'd make all the rich and powerful people live like the poorest, most powerless people in their countries for a month (without them knowing it was only for a month).

19. Do you like to dance?
Yes.

20. George Bush.
See Roget's under "moron" and "despicable."

21. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
Jo

21. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call her?
I don't have to imagine this. However, I was partial to the name David. We didn't use it, but I still like it.

23. Would you ever consider living abroad?
Sure. Not necessarily permanently. Is Canada "abroad"? hee Otherwise, England, Australia, Greece, Italy....

24. What would you want God to say to you when you reach the pearly gates?
"Welcome. You worried a lot for nothing. And the guy who invented high heels? He's over there, as requested."

25. 4 people who must also do this theme in their journal.
I don't really tag. If you want to do this, do it. Otherwise, don't.
