?otd

...in multiples, all from this week. I didn't do all of the ones on the ?otd site, but then I never do...

What do you collect that other people might find to be odd?
To some extent, I think collecting anything is odd. Nevertheless, I seem to be fated to collect salt-and-pepper equipment. Shakers, but also salt dishes and spoons, etc. Long story.
I also collect dust. I'm much better at that.

If you could live safely with any of the animals at the zoo (in the exhibit with them), which animals would you choose to live?
"Something tells me it's all happening at the zoo..."
I'd live with the chimps. Or the wolves.

How long will you wait for an elevator before you give up and take the stairs instead?
Totally dependent on how many floors I'm going up, and whether I can find the stairs. If I'm just going up one floor, I usually walk anyway. If it's more than 3 floors, I'd probably wait 5 minutes or so. More than that, I'd wait 5 minutes and then go and complain to the building manager. ;-)

Have you read The Da Vinci Code? Are you looking forward to the movie coming out?
I read the book before the craze began. It was an OK puzzle book.
I'd like to see the movie; I like Tom Hanks. But I can't figure out the hair-thing he's doing in this role. He looks bloodyawful.

What is something, or somewhere, that you think is completely overrated?
Going for the obvious here: Disney-related shit.
Close behind: nouvelle cuisine.

What name do people mistake your name for the most?
Written: they usually change the last letter to an 'i'. Or they spell it the "right" way.
Spoken: I've been called Linda, Luce, Laura, Lisa, and Leanne. Those are just the ones that start with the same letter. I've been called lots of other things, too. ;-)
