Monday...

Madness
I must preface my answers with a warning that Val Day is not a major holiday in my book.

1. What is the best (and worst) Valentines gift you have ever received?
I actually have no strong memories. I think Beast has bought me flowers a few times. I've gotten jewelry. Nothing stands out as being horrible, but I do treasure the valentines from Sparky when he was too little to do more than scribble on a pink paper heart.

2. What is the best (and worst) Valentines gift you have ever given?
I frankly suck at this holiday. I'm not sure I've given too many gifts. Mostly cards. I cook meals, I guess, which could be worst OR best, depending on what you think of my cooking.

3. In the past, have you ever sent or received an anonymous Valentines Card? If so, do you now know who sent you the card? And if you've sent one, does the person you sent a card to know it was from you?
Well, good God yes: in junior high. I sent Secret Admirer stuff to L*rry Cl**s and probably R*n M*art*n*z among others. Not sure if I ever received an anonymous one. I'm sure they didn't know it was from me, and at this point--30 years later and 1000 miles away--I doubt I'll tell them.

4. Have you ever sent an anonymous Valentines and got together with that person afterwards?
Let me clarify: I haven't done the anonymous thing since I was 14. So, no.

5. Do you make special plans for Valentines, or is it just another commercial plan to make people spend money?
We may do something, but nothing outrageous. It's really just another excuse to buy chocolate and flowers. I've told Beast for years that, while I'd be upset if I didn't get a card or two, I'd really rather get flowers, etc. any other day.

6. Do you buy, or make, traditional gifts, like red roses and chocolates, or do you like to be different?
I sent Beast flowers once, to work. He got so razzed about it that I've never done it again. Of the two choices given here, I'm more in the traditional camp. Mostly I'm practical: you need a scarf, you'll get a scarf for Valentine's Day.

7. Do you think you are with that special someone, are you waiting for that special someone, or is there 'the one that got away'?
I'm with 'im.
