Friday's Feast

Eighty-One

Appetizer
If you were a color, which color would you be, and why?
I'd like to be medium blue. But I think I'm more of an orangey-yellow.
Blue is nice and calming. I don't feel very calm most of the time. But I'm normally not psycho (i.e. red). So, orange, fading to yellow today.

Soup
When was the last time you went to the doctor, and what was your reason for going?
I was there this week. For headaches, shoulder pain and general angst. The lab results came back showing I have calcium in my blood, whatever that means.

Salad
What do you collect?
Dust.

Main Course
What were you like in high school? Name one thing you miss and one thing you don't miss about those days. (If you're still there, imagine how you'll remember it in the future.)
I was a geek, a brain and hopelessly, truly, deeply, terminally shy in high school.
I loved the academic part of school. Learning was wonderful. Some of the socializing was fun too.
I hated the bitchy girls and the fact that I could never talk to any guys I thought were gorgeous. I don't miss feeling that insecure.

Dessert
Pretend you're standing in front of your home, with your back towards your home. Describe the view - what can you see? Trees? Cars? A zoo? Wal-Mart?
There is a large, rusty bluish-green water tower behind the treeline in back of the house across the street; it's in someone's backyard, because it actually belongs to them. The water tower, I mean.
Less noticeably, there is a retention-pond area directly across from us and a nice ranch house, all white. The yard is lovely (in the summer).
Let's see. Our mailbox. Our neighbor's mailbox. Tall trees behind his house, short saplings in our subdivision. We're at the back of the subd. so there's not a lot of traffic.
Can you see wind? Cuz it's always windy here. Otherwise, right now it's very quiet since the garbage trucks have been and gone for the morning.
