Questionnaire

from Shelly, the queen of memes

First Best Friend(s): Laura Moore, age 6. We're still friends, after 35 years!

First Screen Name: One of those weird Prodigy names (e.g. YQRP87) in the late 80s. I signed notes "Domestic Goddess." I was ahead of the irony bubble, believe me.

First Pet: We had a parakeet when I was very young. My first pet was a rescued terrier mutt, picked up at the Dumb Friends League in Denver when I was 10.

First Piercing: Only ones are one hole in each ear, done when I was 14? Or 15?

First Crush: Jim Phillips, 6th grade. I wore a cute little baby blue dress as often as possible to show off my (cold, naked) legs. He was a clueless 12-year-old boy, but blonde and cute.

First CD: Don't remember my first CD for sure...Nylons, maybe? My first album was (horrors!) Shaun Cassidy's, in the era of the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew show.

First Car: The first car I drove was a Chevy Malibu station wagon (dad's car). The car I drove mostly in high school was a hand-me-down from my mom, a 1971 Toyota Corolla. I've never owned a car that was JUST mine, but the first vehicle I helped pay for, with my name on the title, was a 1987 white Toyota pickup truck.

First Love: Wow, as opposed to first crush...? Uhm, actually, probably Beast. No one I dated ever broke my heart when we split. There were guys I didn't want to stop seeing, but it wasn't because I loved them; it was because they were good (ahem) kissers. ;-)

First Stuffed Animal: Not sure. I remember buying--with my own money--a small pink mouse at the Denver train station when I was about 5. I still have the mangy thing.

NINE LASTS

Last Alchoholic Beverage: Vodka/cranberry juice a couple of nights ago, which I didn't finish because Beast bought crap vodka and it tasted AWFUL!

Last Car Ride: To work this morning. Long(er) distance: probably the drive to Texas in Sept.

Last Movie Seen: At a theater? Uh, Star Wars...Sith, I think. At home, I'm working through Shoah.

Last Phone Call: Made by me: probably this morning regarding the fundraiser I'm working on for Christmas. That I answered: a reference call for information about Katherine Paterson, and then directions to the library.

Last CD Played: Shania Twain's "Come On Over" because I needed mindless pap to counter reality.

Last Bubble Bath: With bubbles, last week sometime. I took a 'balt salt bath' last night, though, with orange-scented salts.

Last Time You Cried: Last night, because I couldn't sleep and Blogger blew up.

EIGHT HAVE-YOU-EVERS

Have you ever dated one of your best friends: Yup. Then I married 'im.

Have you ever been arrested: God no.

Have you ever skinny dipped: Since I can't swim, that would be suicidal. And, no.

Have you ever been on TV: Yes.

Have you ever kissed someone and then regretted it: Let me count the times...yes.

Have you ever had a sex dream about someone you knew: Of course.
