So I'm late; sue me

From the Friday Feast (a day late):

Appetizer
Do your closer friends tend to be male or female? Why do you think that is?
I spent my teenage years absolutely terrified of boys. Really, painfully shy and terrified. It's weird, because when I was a little kid most of my nearby neighbors were boys and we got along fine. Anyway, formative years being what they are, ALL of my best friends in jr. high and high school were girls. In college, same thing, except for the Beast. I married him. He is my Very Bestest Friend, but all of the rest of my friends are women. I do have guy friends, but there's always some 'weirdness' component going on there and I don't necessarily feel like I can bare my soul with most of them. I'm not as afraid of them anymore, though, just confused.

Soup
If you could wake up tomorrow with a new talent, what would it be?
Able to roll with the punches that life throws at me: Absolute Zen.

Salad
Name a household cleaning item that you would recommend to others.
A cleaning product? OK, I don't 'do' cleaning.... Let's see....
Well, we always spray that after shower stuff when we're done showering. It does seem to help cut down the amount of scrubbing necessary to keeping the surround ick-free.
I do love CLR because it absolutely dissolves ANYthing.
Bleach. I'm doing the soaking thing with all our dishcloths today because they've turned that disgusting-but-nameless color. They never look clean, even just out of the washer.

Main Course
What do you strive for in life?
Today, I'm striving for a pain-free back/shoulder area. Short-term goals.
Long-term: contentment, finding God's purpose in my life, a good relationship with my immediate family members, and as much traveling as I can stuff into my schedule.

Dessert
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how funny do you consider yourself?
On a good day: 9
On a 'normal' day: 6
Midwinter: -3
