Ah yes, here are some surveys! :)

(found here)

9/22
Do you like figuring out things yourself, or having instructions?: I like both: give me the instructions, then leave me alone to figure things out.

You just won $10,000; what do you do with all the money?: Pay the taxes, bank the rest.

Do you actually have a plan for the future, or do you go with the flow?: General plans, but mostly go with the flow. The whole five-year-plan thing? I simply can't. I've tried, many many times...

What's something you don't like about going to the beach?: Occasional weird odors, and sunburn.

Do seagulls really annoy you or do you find them cute?: They really annoy me.

What's something you used to collect when you were younger?: Rocks. Yes, really. There was a brief moment when I considered becoming a geologist. Then I took Geology in 8th grade and hated it.

Does the thought of moving out from home scare you? Why or why not?: {insert hysterical laughter here}

Describe your dream Saturday night: I'm currently picking Cheetos out of my teeth. Those, plus a mini Slim-Jim, perhaps some buttered bread, and a little Ben&Jerry's, is my dinner. It's actually quite relaxing, in the sense that emotional eating always is.

You have a plane ticket to travel anywhere; where do you go?: Right now: the Rockies to see the trees changing color. In a few months I'd practically sell my soul for a ticket to anyplace warm and sunny.

If you could choose your own eye colour, what would it be?: I'm good with my hazels.

When your pet comes in the room, do you say hi or just ignore them?: My pets are caged. I say hi when I pass them, most of the time, seeing as how they generally greet me. Seems churlish not to say anything to them back.

You're home alone and someone knocks on your door; do you answer it?: Only if it's obvious I'm here, or if I feel like it in general. I got very used to ignoring people at the door as a latchkey kid, especially after a process-server showed up on the porch one day to serve my dad.

Do you buy lunch at school, or just bring your own?: Uhhh....I usually eat away from my workplace.

Do your school pictures always look bad, or are they pretty good?: There were some horrible ones, and there were some good ones. My senior pic was pretty good, though looking at it now I wonder how I managed to look so grown-up and calm with all the shenanigans going on around me at that shoot.

Do you often swear, or try to use kinder words?: I swear. I grew up in a household where nothing was called by its real name, and I've knee-jerked the opposite direction.

If you had to break any bone in your body, what would it be?: Probably a small bone in one of the fingers of my left hand. I barely use it, so....

When you're feeling down, what usually cheers you up?: Food. Memes. Crying. Distraction.

Did you ever at some point want an iPhone? Did you get one?: I have zero interest in owning any Apple products.

How about the iPad? Do you want that also?: Nope. Considering an Android pad of some kind at some point down the road a ways, but no iPad.

If you could work for any famous company, what would it be?: The person before me said, "Maybe Zappo's." I'm thinking that's a great answer: all the shoes I could possibly want!

When you see homeless people, do you tend to give them money?: I don't, not usually. Kinda depends. I think in the future I will try to remember to pack a sandwich and some fruit when I head to the city.

As a kid, what character really scared you?: EVERYthing scared me when I was a kid!

Would you rather live in a mansion, or a small cozy home?: Do I have to clean it? If so, then a one-room hut.

What celebrity are you just dying to meet?: I've no interest in meeting any famous people. I'm sure I'd only embarrass myself.

^If you could meet that person, what would you say to them?: ...well, stupid things, hence the part about embarrassing myself.

Are you more a city person, or would you like to live on a farm?: I wouldn't make a good farmer--way too lazy--but I don't think I'd want to live in a big city either. I'm perfect where I am now.

Do commercials really annoy you, or do you not care?: Some commercials are the pits. If I have to hear about Jamie Lee Curtis's colon health or that there are a lot of people named Jamie in the world...ugh.

What kiddie website do you still like to visit?: Uh, none? I will direct a kid to whichever kids' site s/he wants to get to when they ask at work, but I don't think I need to spend any time there myself.

You're in the mood for coffee; where do you go?: The mental hospital, because I have obviously had a breakdown: I don't like coffee!

Is dinner really the best meal of the day?: It is today!

Aren't ladybugs the cutest bugs ever?: I prefer rollie-pollies myself.

Do you always look both ways before you cross the street?: At least!

What Disney movie will you always love? Why is it so great?: I do love "The Lion King" for the songs and the fact that there's so much there for grownups to chew over.

Do you think Axe is really all that great, or is it over-rated?: There is nothing about Axe that I like in any way whatsoever.

Without ________ I could not live. Fill in the blank.: A breathable atmosphere.

Do you use one password for everything, or different ones?: Variations on a theme. Or two. Or, well, three. Themes.

What's the grossest thing you ever sat on?: ? Uh...? I have, perhaps, blocked it out, but I don't remember ever sitting on anything gross. Maybe a dirty bench, or dirty grass, or something?

Do you find you always get food stains when you're wearing a white shirt?: Yes. Why the HELL do I keep buying white shirts??

Do pop-ups annoy the hell out of you? Or are you ok with them?: I, uh, haven't seen a popup I haven't chosen to see in eons, thanks to blocking software...

Who is the coolest athlete ever?: Depends on your definition of cool, but I'd go with a biathlete or cross-country skier. Those guys must get cold! Although the constant movement and sweat probably warms them back up....so I don't know. Lugers?

Have you ever had all your songs deleted from your iPod? How'd it happen?: Well, no, since I don't have an iPod as I noted above. Ahem.

Do you prefer having a purse, bag or backpack when at the mall?: None of the above.

What are you most proud of accomplishing in your life?: Surviving. Learning from mistakes.

If you were allowed to get a piercing anywhere, what would you get?: "Allowed"??? I don't need anymore holes, thanks.

If you use public transport: What's your biggest pet peeve while out and about? Other people being stupid about cell phones and iPods.

Do you know anyone who has a naturally loud voice? It sounds like are shouting but they really aren't? Yes. I work 15 feet from her. Ear-piercing. Noise-suppressing headphones and heavy metal hardly work to drown her out.

Is there anything you are scared/awkward about talking about in life? Yup. It's a bit hard to believe, but I don't like to bring up touchy subjects with family members.

Has a pet ever stolen food from you as you were eating it? {{chuckle}} Yes, my growing-up dog did this once in awhile.

When was the last time you had to cancel plans because you were sick? I've come home from work because I didn't feel good sometime relatively recently, within the last month.

What is the weirdest compliment you have ever been given? I was invited to come to the middle school Sunday School class recently...by one of the kids. I am taking that as a compliment.

Is there a certain way you have to sleep? For example, with a window open or the fan on? I prefer the room to be slightly cool, but I don't ever have the window open (allergies). The fan is usually on in the summer. I may turn it off tonight--I was cold last night.

Would you still be interested in buying/renting a house if you found out it was supposed to be haunted? Listen, our first house was the scene of a murder/suicide by the previous owners. Haunting doesn't even bother me.

What was the last thing you created that you were proud of? The spaghetti sauce tonight was pretty good. And I got Beast fed and up to bed in about 45 minutes total with very little pain on his part (relatively speaking), so I call that a total win.

If you had a button that you could carry with you at all times and press at any time, but it only did one thing, what would your button do? Detect and deal with Teh Stoopud.

Are you good at puzzles or riddles? Thousands of mysteries, crosswords, sudokus, and jigsaws have passed through my consciousness. I've only completely failed at one.

Do you think you would enjoy working with the person you're dating? Or a close friend or family member? It depends. Beast and I could work on some things together, but not others. I'm pretty certain that working with most of my extended family members would involve murder.

What's stronger - your upper or lower body? My legs. And my back.

Are you very careful with your technology (phone, laptop, etc) or do you take risks that could damage them? I try to take pretty good care of them.

Have you ever been in the newspaper? What for? Yes a few times in local interest stories: band and honor society in school, and work-related stuff since then.

What age do you often get mistaken for? When I was younger, most people seemed to think I was a little older than I was. Now, I'm that weird no-one-wants-to-guess age.

If you could change your surname to anything, what would you change it to? Which surnames do you think sound nice? I'd love to go back to my maiden name alone.

Would you say that the area you live in is particularly picturesque? I would totally NOT use the word "picturesque." I've heard it described as "cute" and "quaint" though.

If you have an Apple product, do you always download the software/app updates? I don't, but I would should the unthinkable happen.

Do you take any vitamin supplements? Every day.
